Go-Lab offered school teachers pedagogically designed resources and training to teach and introduce inquiry-based learning in STEM classes and enabled the acquisition of 21st-century competencies and skills. Go-Lab’s Sharing and Support platform (Golabz) enabled teachers to provide students, aged 6 to 18, with virtual labs, remote labs, and data sets (Labs), as well as inquiry learning applications (Apps) to support their interactive learning experience, and make complex and abstract topics easier to comprehend. Learning with online labs, students could develop deeper conceptual knowledge and increase their interest in STEM subjects and careers.

Using Go-Lab’s Authoring and Learning platform (Graasp), all these resources could be put together seamlessly and shared as a digital learning space with the learners. Working with these learning spaces, students became scientists who could work individually or collaboratively to create their own hypotheses, design their experiments, test them interactively and write their conclusions and reports. Go-Lab also facilitated self- and peer-assessment and the development of self-regulation and collaboration skills. The integrated learning analytics features also supported teachers to follow-up on their students’ progress and make evidence-supported evaluations.
