The TIWI project (Teaching ICT with Inquiry) provides teachers with tools and skills to enable them to teach coding with the use of the inquiry-based educational approach. The target group includes primary and secondary school teachers, both pre-service and in-service, with a focus on teachers of ICT and related STEM subjects. With inquiry-based scientific learning (IBSL), teachers explore new ways of encouraging students to learn ICT.

The project showcases future career opportunities in computer sciences and real-life application of programming and other STEM subjects. The main outputs are:

• the development of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) “Teaching ICT with Inquiry”, where participants develop Inquiry Learning Spaces (ILSs) using Go-Lab Authoring and Learning platform, Graasp.
• the development and implementation of learning activities to be tested in 80 classrooms

The project is funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, KA2-Cooperation for Innovation and the Exchange of Good practices, under grant agreement No 2018-LT01-KA201-047065. In addition to the Lithuanian Education Development Centre (UPC), representing the Lithuanian Ministry of Education, the partnership includes three partners from the Next-Lab project, as well as the University of Maine or Le Mans Université, which has a teacher training institute associated with the Next-Lab project.
